What are Boards and Commsssions
Boards and committees are volunteer position so members do not receive compensation for their duties. The Select Board are the exception whereas they do receive stipends.
Time commitment varies depending on the board and committee. Most boards and committees meet monthly. Additionally, board members may have to be able to dedicate time outside of meetings to do reading, research, etc.
The term for most boards and committees is three to five years for regular members and one year for alternate memberships.
Yes, all citizen participants must be residents or business owners of the Town of Camden to be considered appointed by the Select Board.
Yes, meetings are open to the public. Most meetings are also live streamed on You Tube
